Irina Dinev was born in Russia in 1984, before moving to England, UK in 2017. After obtaining a higher artistic education in Decorative and Applied Arts, Irina studied with the famous artist Mir Teymur Mammadov in Baku, where she learned ancient techniques of hand modelling.
Irina enjoys the endless pursuit of perfection, concentrating on the unique shapes and bends of her sculptures, and what powerful reactions they can evoke in a viewer. Each vessel has a soul living within its contours. They represent life, heart, soul and longevity. The flowing lines appeal to human emotions, as if they could give birth to a new fifth element of sensory power – the embodiment of the existing four elements: water, earth, air and fire. She has created a unique symbol to show love and passion for each element, which is “4 heart”.
Irina Dinev is an award winner and a laureate of regional, Russian and international exhibitions. Her work is exhibited at the Museum of Ethnography and Natural Sciences in Chisinau (Moldova), as well as in private collections in Russia, England, Italy, Hungary and Moldova. Irina is a member of Craft Potters Association of Great Britain.
